Toronto, Canada – News reports about food safety issues and large food recalls are becoming a common occurrence and in some instances, consumers are finding themselves the unwitting victims of a devastating food-borne illness. As a result, governments and businesses from around the world are stepping up efforts to protect people and their brands in order to remain competitive in a global market. Their efforts will be made easier with the launch of a new food safety website.
 
Global Food Safety Resource Centre (GFSR) is a business-to-business website (www.globalfoodsafetyresource.com) which helps businesses adopt or improve food standards and practices. GFSR offers a comprehensive overview of food safety and pools trusted resources that provide invaluable information to the food industry. Businesses can search for food safety specialists or service providers tailored to their specific requirements, and find resources to help them adopt or implement food standards or certification schemes.
