Food Companies Get Back on ERP Maintenance
Food companies need to get back on ERP maintenance:
- Too often food manufacturers cannot keep pace with changes in technology on old software
- The custom work performed internal often becomes harder to support – the original developers/partners are gone or are retiring
- Food business requirements have changed but fixes cannot be implemented because of one or both of the above
- There is no fallback position for most food companies if software stops working
- With all the tax changes and new regulations impacting food companies, updating financials is impossible without a maintenance plan.
Lapsed Maintenance Fees Waived
Microsoft Dynamics GP and NAV customers with a Microsoft Dynamics Business Ready Enhancement Plan that lapsed prior to November 10, 2010, are now able to get back on plan with all lapse and re-enrollment fees waived. Customers commit to three years of enhancement before the lapse and re-enrollment fees are waived. The offer expires on April 22, 2011, so there is a short window to re-ignite lapsed ERP maintenance programs among food companies and JustFoodERP helps current Microsoft Dynamics GP and NAV customers exclusively in the food industry.
Food Companies Also Use License Model Transition
There is also another program called License Model Transition (formerly called Transformational Assurance), which allows food companies the opportunity to change to a license model that helps improve businesses.
When a food company has spent one dollar on a Dynamics product, they are able to take that dollar as credit toward any other Dynamics product. As food companies grow, deal with tax implications, and regulatory compliance, customers can license Microsoft Dynamics AX, Microsoft Dynamics GP, Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Microsoft Dynamics SL with confidence. When it makes sense for a transition, customers receive credit toward new solutions.
If a food company invested $100,000 into Dynamics GP, it could take that credit and apply it to the purchase of JustFoodERP software; dozens of companies have taken advantage of this program to make the switch from their non-industry specific ERP implementation,
Marc DiGiorgio, Vice President of JustFoodERP, “Many food companies select JustFoodERP because it has experience converting custom implementations of Dynamics GP, NAV, and SL. While some of these solutions are fine for accounting implementations, the need for a industry-specific technology expert with extensive capability around sales management, inventory management, warehouse management, manufacturing, purchasing, MRP/MPS, quality management, and other areas is critical.”
JustFoodERP is vertically focused software and services powered by the Microsoft Dynamics platform. The company joined the prestigious 2010 Inner Circle for Microsoft Dynamics, an elite group of the most strategic Microsoft Dynamics partners from across the globe whose sales achievements rank them in the highest echelon of the Microsoft Dynamics global network of partners. Members of the Microsoft Dynamics Inner Circle have performed to a high standard of excellence by delivering valuable solutions that help organizations achieve increased success. The firm has deployed over 150 food company customers in North America.
